How it works
You can hire one of our camper vans for a week, a midweek break or a weekend break. Sometimes we can offer a little more flexibility, so do get in touch and we’ll see what's possible.
- Weekly Hire: Monday 3pm – Monday 11am or Friday 3pm to Friday 11am
- Weekend Break: Friday 3pm – Monday 11am
- Midweek Break: Monday 3pm – Friday 11am
Collections are from 3pm. If you plan to be in the area earlier in the day let us know, we might just be able to get your camper ready slightly ahead of schedule. Final collections are at 6pm. If you can't reach us by this time, do get in touch and we’ll see what's possible.
Where to collect
Camper-vans are collected from our base in Pantglas, Garndolbenmaen in Gwynedd. On arrival, we will complete the paperwork and introduce you to your camper. We have free on-site parking (at owners risk) for your car for the duration of your hire. Your camper needs to be returned to our base at the end of hire. Where you can go
Our campers are over 40 years old and go at a more leisurely pace than their modern equivalent. Our prices are based on an adventure in Snowdonia, the Lleyn Pennisular, and Anglesey with support up to a 50 mile radius of our base.
You can go further afield and even cross the water to Ireland but you will need to discuss your plans with us beforehand as it will affect the price to cover insurance and breakdown.
Our campers are covered by UK standard vehicle insurance. You can drive one of our campers if you have held a UK drivers licence 2 or more years and are between 25 years and 70 years old. We can also pass insurance for drivers over 21 and older than 70 or drivers with a foreign driver’s license, subject to a £750 security deposit. If you fall into this bracket and are keen to hire, do get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
Additional drivers can be insured at £5 per person per day.
Please note, if you have any driving offences / convictions we may not be able to authorise your hire as they could result in the vehicle not being insured. Further information is in our T&C or get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
Before your holiday we will require for insurance purposes copies of your driving licence photo card, an online DVLA check result / print out and 2 separate utility bills (excluding mobile phone bills) dated within 90 days of the hire start date, for all those who intend to drive the campervan. To share your DVLA check result with us you can generate a check code here on the DVLA website. Please note, a 'check code' is only valid for 21 days.
What information you need to bring with you
On collection, you'll need to bring your driver’s license, plus two current forms of address identification (e.g. passport, bank statement or utilities bill) which confirm the address on your driving license. We also need to run a DVLA check on your licence if we haven’t already for which you will need your National Insurance number.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, we do welcome dogs but request that you contact us in advance to discuss further requirements. There is an extra £30 per hire charge to cover the additional cleaning from pet hairs and paw prints. This small charge covers all your dogs although we do not recommend you bring any more than 2 medium sized breeds or 1 large as you simply won’t all fit in the camper!
Most campsites are dog-friendly and there are acres of mountains, moorland and coastal paths to explore.
If you do bring your dog then please respect the camper and bring throws and/or a dog bed to prevent damage to the seats and fittings. Any damage will be deducted from your security.
